Job summary

Verkada is seeking a Product Design Mechanical Engineer to own the mechanical design for next-gen enterprise intercom products, from concept to mass production. You will generate mechanical solutions for hardware including audio, cameras, RF, mounting and sealing, driving products from PoC to production.

You will collaborate with Electrical and Industrial Design teams to integrate PCBAs, sensors, and CMF, and you will work with vendors on DFM and tooling bring-up, ensuring reliability through

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5 years of mechanical design, manufacturing and electro-mechanical systems experience.
• Mastery of 3D CAD software.
• Experience designing enterprise or consumer electronics.
• Experience with overseas supply chain.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Generate mechanical solutions for enterprise hardware (audio, cameras, RF, mounting, sealing, thermals, etc.).
• Drive products from PoC through mass production.
• Collaborate with Electrical Engineering to integrate PCBAs and sensors.
• Collaborate with Industrial Design to prototype, test concepts and finalize CMF.
• Work with vendors on DFM, tooling bring-up and validation.
• Own tooling release, bring up, and validation for parts and processes.
• Develop mechanical reliability test plans and DoEs.
• Assist with failure analysis and root-cause investigations.
• Guide concepts through EVT, DVT, PVT toward mass production.
