Cape Henlopen High School seeks a Winter Cheerleading, Assistant Coach to support the head coach in leading practices, shaping game plans, and building a positive, competitive team culture. The role requires collaboration with coaching staff and adherence to DIAA rules.

The ideal candidate will mentor players, monitor performance, and assist with scheduling and travel while maintaining strong communication with families and the CHSD community.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• Advanced education above high school is preferred.
• Must complete CPR and Concussion Training every two years.
• Must be familiar with DIAA rules and regulations.
• Must complete Title IX Athletics training.

Responsibilities

• Support head coach to organize and implement game plans.
• Lead training programs and mentor players for physical, mental, and emotional development.
• Analyze opponents and develop game plans; make real-time decisions during games.
• Assist with team selection and ensure adherence to team policies.
• Maintain communication with players, families, and staff; manage scheduling and travel.
