Cape Henlopen School District seeks a Winter Cheerleading Head Coach to lead and develop the team, plan and implement game and practice strategies, and foster a positive, competitive environment.

The ideal candidate will provide mentorship, track performance metrics, and ensure all activities align with DIAA rules and district policies while coordinating with staff and families for a cohesive program.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED; advanced education above high school is preferred.
• Must be familiar with Cape Henlopen School District's policy expectations and DIAA rules.
• Must complete Title IX and athletics training.
• A satisfactory criminal background check, DE Child Protection Registry, and TB test are required for all new employees.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the winter cheerleading team and create training programs to improve performance.
• Analyze opponents and plan game and practice strategies; adjust in real time as needed.
• Collaborate with head coach and staff to ensure cohesive team operations and policy adherence.
• Maintain open communication with players, families, and coaching staff; foster a positive team culture.
• Track team and player performance metrics and implement improvements.
• Assist in scheduling practices, games, and travel while ensuring DIAA compliance.
