Founded in 1927 as a division of Pan American World Airways, Avports is an experienced and trusted airport manager and operator. Today, the company operates with over 650 staff at 14+ airports across the US and the Caribbean, with that number slated to grow to 800 during the next year with the addition of new airport projects.
Avports has historically managed and operated a portfolio of airport operations and maintenance (O&M) and public-private partnership (P3/PPP) contracts at more than 30 US airports. These airports have diverse operations, encompassing commercial and general aviation airports, passenger terminals, joint-use airports, heliports, NASA facilities, and spaceports. The company is working to integrate electric aviation, hydrogen fuel cells, and zero-emission decarbonization concepts in existing airport environments.
New York Stewart International Airport (SWF), located at 1180 First Street, New Windsor, NY 12553, serves the Hudson Valley and surrounding regions approximately 60 miles north of Manhattan near Newburgh and New Windsor, Orange County. Owned by the Department of Transportation, leased by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) and operated by Future Stewart Partners (FSP/Avports) under a long-term agreement, SWF is a FAA Part 139 certified commercial service airport offering scheduled passenger service and cargo operations. The airport plays a key role in regional transportation and economic development and is committed to safe, efficient, and customer-focused airport operations.
Performs maintenance and repair of roads, aprons, taxiways, runways, drainage systems, fencing, and related Airport facilities and structures. Essential characteristics of the position are the ability to operate mobile equipment proficiently and perform journeyman or near-journeyman level work in maintenance, repair, or snow removal activities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle to feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and smell. The employee is occasionally required to sit. Must regularly lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. May be required to work both indoors and outdoors in all types of weather and frequently at high elevations. Specific vision abilities required include vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
