Avports is seeking a dedicated Custodian for Stewart International Airport (SWF) in New York. You will perform custodial duties in the terminal and surrounding buildings, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for passengers and staff.
The role requires basic education (GED/HS), English fluency, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Some Spanish language ability is a plus, and you will operate cleaning equipment and report maintenance needs to supervision.

SUMMARY -Responsible for all custodial duties and light maintenance in and around the terminal as well as buildings 110, 138, 142, 2290 (Bays 1, 2 & 3).

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Fluent Knowledge of the English Language, both oral and written. Ability to speak and understand the Spanish language is a plus.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Observation of maintenance and safety needs communicated to management in a timely manner.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Employee must possess and maintain a valid NYS driver’s license as a condition of employment. Driving record must meet company eligibility. Must be able to qualify for a SIDA Badge with CBP endorsement.
