Job summary

Notre Dame is seeking a student data analyst intern to design and maintain interactive dashboards for real-time operational, quality, and business metrics. Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a full-time undergraduate degree in data analytics or related field.
• Available to work 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 8:00–5:00.
• Strong organizational and detail-oriented work style with ability to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally, be independently driven, and a self-starter.
• Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards for real-time metrics across operations, quality, and business performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate reporting needs into dashboards.
• Develop KPIs, metrics, and scorecards to support data-driven decisions across manufacturing, quality, and supply chain.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards for real-time operational, quality, and business performance metrics.

• Develop and standardize KPIs, metrics, and scorecards supporting data-driven decision-making across manufacturing, quality, and supply chain functions.
• Create executive-level dashboards summarizing key business trends, performance indicators, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Transform complex datasets into intuitive visualizations to identify trends, exceptions, and areas requiring attention.
• Build automated reporting solutions to reduce manual data collection and improve accuracy and timeliness.
• Develop drill-down analytics capabilities for root cause analysis and operational performance investigations.
• Integrate data from multiple enterprise systems to provide a consolidated view of business performance.
• Monitor dashboard adoption and effectiveness, enhancing visualizations and metrics based on stakeholder feedback.
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and governance within reporting and dashboard solutions.
• Deliver actionable insights through data visualization, trend analysis, and performance benchmarking.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify reporting opportunities and implement scalable business intelligence solutions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by developing dashboards tracking project performance, KPI attainment, and business outcomes.
• Create self-service analytics tools empowering business users to access and analyze data independently.
• Present dashboard findings and performance insights to leadership teams to support strategic planning and operational decision-making.

About You

The company is looking for:

• Undergraduate student enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university, majoring in Data Analytics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Analytics, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Availability to work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize requests, and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills including listening, written, and verbal abilities.
• Ability to work cross-functionally, be independently driven, and a self-starter.
• Strong skills in Coding, PowerBI, Snowflake, and cloud data platforms.
• Experience with AI, MS Power Automate, or Tableau is a plus.
• Work authorization in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Compensation & Benefits

• $31 per hour, paid bi-weekly.
• $5,000 sign-on bonus paid within the first 30 days of employment.
