Notre Dame in Burlington, MA seeks an undergraduate student to support maintenance and reliability initiatives. You will write work instructions and preventive maintenance documents, develop PowerPoint presentations and one-point lessons, and build pivot tables to analyze downtime and performance data.

You will assist with TPM implementation and Lean activities, participate in Continuous Improvement events, and help develop autonomous and preventive maintenance workstreams.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university in a Manufacturing-related field.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally, be independently driven and adaptable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Power BI, and AI tools (CoPilot/ChatGPT).
• US work authorization for full-time employment in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Write work instructions and preventive maintenance documents
• Create PowerPoint presentations and one-point lessons
• Develop pivot tables and analyze data
• Review equipment manuals and write instructions
• Assist with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) implementation and Lean activities, including participation in Continuous Improvement or Kaizen events
• Develop, implement, and improve autonomous and preventive maintenance workstreams
• Complete project development tasks such as writing/verifying specifications, maintaining documentation, testing processes and equipment, and validating equipment and processes
• Analyze downtime data and maintain action plans using lean methodology

About You

The company is looking for:

• Undergraduate currently enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university, majoring in Engineering, Maintenance & Reliability, or a related Manufacturing field
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize requests, and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills including listening, written, and verbal abilities
• Ability to work cross-functionally, be independently driven, and adapt to changes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Power BI, and AI tools (CoPilot/ChatGPT)
• Work authorization in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship now or in the future

Compensation & Benefits

• $31.00 per hour
• Paid bi-weekly
• $5,000 sign-on bonus paid within first 30 days of employment
