Job summary

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical or Materials)
• 5+ years related work experience
• 3+ years experience with aircraft structural design
• 1+ years experience with design of composite structures
• Experience with aircraft/heavy structures, hardware or interiors production systems

Responsibilities

• Develops, integrates and documents structural requirements for wing/empennage design.
• Maintains and modifies designs using 3-D CAD to provide product definition for teams, production, suppliers and customers.
• Analyzes and validates results to ensure compliance with requirements and specs.
• Manages supplier development, test and production activities and coordinates with suppliers to optimize design.
• Develops new design/analysis processes to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
• Investigates emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs.
• Works under general direction.
