Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering with Mechanical/Civil/Aerospace/Materials focus.
• 9+ years of experience or equivalent.
• 5+ years in aircraft structural design.
• 3+ years in composite structures design.
• Experience with aircraft, heavy structures, hardware or interiors production.

Responsibilities

• Develops, integrates and documents structural requirements for wing and/or empennage design.
• Maintains and modifies structural designs using 3D CAD to define products for engineering, production, suppliers, and customers.
• Leads tests to validate that the structure meets requirements and specs.
• Manages supplier development, test and production activities coordinating to optimize design.
• Investigates emerging technologies for future product concepts and designs.
• Actively leads a new organization with mentorship and training duties.
• Develops CFR Part 25 certification documentation for Type Cert projects.
• Collaborates on projects with international partners and suppliers.
• Applies CFR Part 21/Part 25 regulations and interacts with regulators.
• Works under minimal direction.
