Job summary

Black Stallion Estate Winery is seeking a Chef to lead the Culinary Program development, preparation, and production across internal events and public offerings. You will supervise kitchen staff, ensure quality and consistency, and align operations with brand strategies and wine programs.

The role requires strong leadership, cost awareness, inventory control, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards, with winery experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years managing a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • 1+ years of leadership experience.
  • Degree from a Culinary institute preferred.
  • Food Handler Card obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Manages day-to-day kitchen operations and team performance.
  • Develops seasonally relevant, cost-effective menus aligned with brand.
  • Maintains inventory and food costs within budget.
  • Coaches staff and participates in GPS performance processes.
  • Ensures safety, sanitation, and compliance with health standards.
  • Plans labor and staffing with scope for part-time/contract services.
