Job summary

Vintner's Table in Phoenixville, PA is seeking a bartender for our winery bar. The role emphasizes guest-focused service, wine knowledge, and friendly, prompt service to encourage future visits.

Responsibilities include serving beverages, checking IDs, handling cash, maintaining bar cleanliness, restocking, and informing guests about specials. Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Exceptional wine knowledge and wine service basics.
• Able to handle money and operate a POS system.
• Able to safely lift and maneuver trays of food and containers weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Stamina to work 15–35 hours per week.
• RAMP training is provided by the company.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations established by the Pennsylvania State Health Department and Vintner's Table.
• Be active and engaging in helping to achieve our goal of providing the highest service possible to our guests.
• RAMP certified.
• Strong foundation and understanding of our Wine, alcoholic beverages, and all offerings.
• Service bar to standards for brunch, lunch, or dinner.
• Checking valid identification to ensure legal age.
• Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations.
• Greet every guest in a genuine and friendly manner.
• Provide menus and QR codes; ensuring guests are seated comfortably.
• Explain QR process to guests; ensure understanding.
• Listen to guest needs and offer beverage/food recommendations and specials.
• Inform guests of new wines and offerings.
• Measure wine and spirits to standard portions.
• Label and date all products per Health Code Standards.
• Rotate products using first in, first out; take inventory at shift end.
• Handle cash and card transactions and balance the till.
• Maintain a clean work area; wash glasses and equipment.
• Monitor guest alcohol consumption per regulations.
• Inform MOD if guest is visibly intoxicated.
• Attend scheduled meetings and suggest improvements.
• Fill in for colleagues to maintain service standards.
• Take reservations for events and assist with event bar operations.
• Provide guests with information about Vintner's Table and local area directions.
