Job summary

Olive Oak in Webster Groves is seeking experienced servers who deliver heartfelt hospitality and have a strong working knowledge of food and wine. You will guide guests through evolving menu and wine pairings, and contribute to a warm, high-standard dining experience.

Evening availability is required (3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.). Both full-time (30 hours) and part-time roles are available, with four shifts per week minimum for consideration. Competitive tipped compensation and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Wine sales experience or strong passion for wine.
• Ability to guide guests through selections and pairings.
• Comfort hosting guests and reading table energy.
• Detail-oriented, cleanliness and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Arrive before service to set up dining room and prep for guests.
• Attend daily pre-service line-up for updates on menu and wine features.
• Provide genuine hospitality throughout dinner service.
• Confidently recommend and sell wines with knowledge of varietals and regions.
• Collaborate with other servers and support staff.
• Perform light side-work and maintain cleanliness during and after service.
• Continuously update knowledge of daily-changing menus.
