Job summary

é by José Andrés is seeking a Sommelier to lead and support the wine program across our Las Vegas restaurant. You will assist in education, sales and overall wine strategy in collaboration with JAG and the Property Beverage Department leads.

Responsibilities include active wine service, vendor liaison, stock control, and helping to develop training programs for staff. Strong English communication and knowledge of wine regions are essential.

Qualifications

• Wine certification from a recognized organization is a plus.
• Knowledge of Spanish wines and regions.
• Must be able to speak clearly, read, write and understand English.
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware.
• Thorough knowledge of menu items and service procedures.
• Able to work in a team and under pressure.
• This position requires standing or walking for long periods and lifting up to 15 lbs; occasional 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Actively perform wine service, focus on guest experience and sales.
• Take beverage orders; serve wine, beer, cocktails and other drinks.
• Observe dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup.
• Partner with Beverage Leads, GM and Head Chef to develop wine training.
• Regularly demonstrate technique and execution of wine service and storage.
• Maintain communication with local vendors to ensure wine supplies.
• Assist in organizing wine events and festivals.
• Attend monthly beverage manager meetings.
• Assist in opening, closing and stock requisitions for wine.
