Job summary

Churchill Downs Incorporated is seeking a friendly server to deliver outstanding guest experiences in our dining venue. Under the Food and Beverage Manager, you will take orders, describe specials and wines, and ensure timely, accurate service in a full-service restaurant.

You will maintain Rose Standards of Service, handle POS transactions, upsell beverages, and work safely with attention to sanitation. Candidates should be at least 18, capable of standing 8+ hours and lifting up to 30 pounds;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with related experience or training.
• Advanced knowledge of liquor/beer/wine and mixology.
• Knowledge of OSHA and ABC regulations.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to stand for 8+ hours; lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Take food and beverage orders from guests.
• Describe Chef’s specials and wines; answer menu questions confidently.
• Deliver food orders in a full-service restaurant.
• Carry a 27” tray; perform steps of service and maintain standards.
• Practice safety and sanitation; obtain TIPS within 90 days.
• Perform wine service and describe/open/present wine.
• Seat guests, buss tables, and handle side work as assigned.
• Provide excellent service and communicate casino resort knowledge.
• Navigate POS to place orders, modify items, and split checks.
