Job summary

City Winery New York is seeking a dedicated Receiver to manage the flow of goods into our warehouse, ensuring proper storage and accurate inventory. You’ll work at the loading dock, verify shipments against orders, and support the kitchen and events teams to keep operations running smoothly.

In this role, you’ll check dates and quality, separate damaged items, and maintain an organized storage system across walk-in, freezer, and dry storage.

Qualifications

• Warehouse experience required.
• Forklift license or certification preferred.
• Organizational skills are essential.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Receive deliveries at the loading dock and verify items.
• Cross-check delivered products against purchase orders and invoices.
• Check expiration dates, freshness, and packaging integrity.
• Store items in walk-in cooler, freezer, or dry storage per system.
• Notify leadership of any unacceptable or shorted items.
• Maintain inventory updates and coordinate with events and kitchen teams.
