Job summary

City Winery New York is seeking a dedicated Receiver to manage receiving operations at our busy warehouse and event-driven facility. You will verify shipments, document quantities, and ensure inventory accuracy while coordinating with the kitchen and events teams for timely storage and retrieval.

Responsibilities include inspecting deliveries, matching invoices to purchase orders, discarding damaged items, and maintaining organized storage in walk-in coolers and dry areas.

Qualifications

• Warehouse experience required.
• Forklift license preferred.
• Strong communication skills required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain open line of communication with kitchen.
• Take receipt of all deliveries at loading dock.
• Compare deliveries with Purchase Orders and invoices to verify accuracy.
• Check expiration dates, freshness, and dented items; return unusable goods.
• Store products properly in walk-in cooler or dry storage; keep inventory organized.
• Flag unreconciled or damaged items to appropriate leads immediately.
• Monitor stock levels and place replenishment requests as needed.
