Job summary

City Winery St. Louis is seeking a bartender to deliver consistently exceptional guest experiences while serving wine, beer and cocktails in a high-volume setting. You will educate guests on beverage offerings, upsell, and assist in floor service to enhance dining and tasting bar sales.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years as a bartender, strong guest-service skills, and a passion for wine and hospitality. This on-site role requires flexible scheduling including nights and weekends, with a focus

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience as a bartender in a fast-paced, high-volume service environment and/or equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong work ethic, team player, and exceptional guest service skills.
• Ability to consistently deliver high-quality guest experiences, exceed guest expectations, and strive to create a memorable experience at every City Winery visit.
• Fluency in English with reading, writing, basic math, and ability to operate a POS.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive guest experience including greeting, conversing with, and thanking departing guests.
• Interact with guests, take orders, serve food and beverages, handle transactions, and support guest service needs from beginning to end.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for patrons within the standards of City Winery.
• Upsell, increase check average, drive promotions & events, and promote City Winery brand.
• Follow all health and safety regulations, including enforcing laws and ordinances in the handling and provision of alcoholic beverages.
