Job summary

City Winery St. Louis is seeking a personable bartender to deliver exceptional guest experiences, craft beverages, and contribute to our unique winery, live music and dining atmosphere.

You will upsell, maintain bar inventory, follow health and safety standards, handle transactions, and work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Previous high-volume service experience and wine knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience as a bartender in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent guest-service and communication skills.
• Fluent English reading/writing and ability to read basic math; comfortable with a POS.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive guest experiences from greeting to farewell.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages per City Winery standards.
• Upsell and drive beverage sales and promotions.
• Handle transactions and cash drawer accurately.
• Maintain bar area cleanliness and inventory.
• Follow health and safety regulations.
• Assist in floor service when needed.
