Job summary

The Tatitlek Corporation seeks a Systems Administrator to support DoD-level IT operations at Dahlgren, VA. You will administer UNIX/Linux/Windows environments, apply security updates (IAVA), and keep systems secure and reliable.

The role emphasizes installation, configuration, troubleshooting, backups, documentation, and collaboration with IT staff. A DoD Secret clearance and IAT Level 2 certification are required for the life of the contract.

Qualifications

At least 1 year of system administration experience.
Must have a DoD Secret security clearance and have or be able to obtain an SSBI.
As per DoD Directive 8140.01, this position requires IAT Level 2 certification (IA and OS certs).
OS certification requirement for Unix/Linux or Windows depending on position; Senior Systems Administrator must maintain IAT Level 2 for life of contract.

Responsibilities

Install, configure and maintain Operating Systems.
Manage installation and integration of system fixes, updates and enhancements; conduct testing, troubleshooting, performance optimization and maintenance.
Provide end user support.
Manage accounts, network rights, access to systems and equipment; maintain system configuration and backups.
Create and maintain documentation and SOPs.
Create, monitor and maintain backups/restoration of systems and files.
Research new and upcoming technologies.
Provide input for future systems and purchases.
Demonstrate knowledge of enterprise frameworks and methodologies.
Communicate effectively both written and verbally.
Other duties as assigned.
