Job summary

ExecuSource is seeking a proactive Windows Systems Engineer with 4–7 years of hands-on experience to join our Infrastructure & Operations team in the Atlanta area. You will maintain, optimize, and secure our Windows server ecosystem, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 tenant, and endpoint management infrastructure, acting as a Tier 2/3 escalation point.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise Microsoft environments.
• Proficient in Windows Server OS (2016/2019/2022) & AD/GPO.
• Strong experience with Microsoft 365 & Entra ID (Hybrid Identity).
• Experience with Intune and Windows 10/11 endpoint management.
• Proficient in Patch management tools (WSUS, Intune, ManageEngine, NinjaOne, Action1).
• PowerShell scripting for system administration and automation tasks.
• Ability to troubleshoot Tier 2/3 incidents across infra, DNS/VPN, endpoints.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments for reliability.

WINDOWS SYSTEMS ENGINEER

Position Summary

We are seeking a proactive Windows Systems Engineer (4–7 years of experience) to join our Infrastructure & Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and securing our enterprise Windows server ecosystem, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 tenant, and endpoint management infrastructure. Functioning as a Tier 2/Tier 3 escalation point, you will work closely with our Help Desk, Infrastructure, and Security teams to deliver a reliable, automated, and secure end‑user environment while providing exceptional service to internal business partners.

Key Responsibilities

Windows Server & Infrastructure Administration

• Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments to ensure high system reliability, performance, and uptime.
• Perform routine server maintenance, health checks, operating system upgrades, and disaster recovery/backup testing.
• Manage server security configurations and resolve infrastructure incidents efficiently.

Active Directory, Entra ID & Identity Management

• Administer Active Directory (AD), including OUs, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), user/group lifecycle management, and access controls.
• Support Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and hybrid identity configurations to ensure secure authentication, DNS functionality, and SSO integration.
• Enforce security best practices, least-privilege access model, and operational compliance standards.

Microsoft 365 & Endpoint Management

• Administer and support Microsoft 365 cloud services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and license management.
• Manage and configure Windows 10/11 endpoints via Microsoft Intune, overseeing device enrollment, compliance policies, and app deployment.
• Oversee workstation imaging, provisioning, and hardware lifecycle standards for laptops and desktops.

Enterprise Patch Management & Automation

• Plan, schedule, and execute patching cycles across Windows Servers and endpoints using Microsoft Intune, WSUS, or third‑party tools (e.g., ManageEngine Endpoint Central, NinjaOne, Action1).
• Monitor patch compliance, remediate failed deployments, and maintain zero‑day vulnerability protection.
• Utilize PowerShell scripting to automate routine administrative tasks, standardize workflows, and improve operational efficiency.

Advanced Technical Support (Tier 2/3) & User Enablement

• Serve as an escalation owner for complex technical issues routed from the Help Desk covering servers, endpoints, M365, VPN, and peripheral hardware.
• Create, update, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, system runbooks, and knowledge base articles.
• Deliver outstanding customer service while fostering collaborative relationships across internal business teams.

Qualifications & Requirements

Core Experience & Skills

• 4–7 years of hands‑on experience supporting enterprise Microsoft environments.
• Deep technical proficiency across:
• Windows Server OS (2016/2019/2022) & Active Directory / GPO
• Microsoft 365 & Microsoft Entra ID (Hybrid Identity)
• Endpoint Management via Microsoft Intune & Windows 10/11
• Patch management tools (WSUS, Intune, ManageEngine, NinjaOne, Action1)
• Experience with PowerShell scripting for system administration and automation tasks.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex Tier 2/3 technical incidents across infrastructure, networking (DNS/VPN), and endpoints.
• Exceptional customer service mindset with strong written and verbal communication capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications & Certifications

• Relevant Microsoft Certifications: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ‑104), Endpoint Administrator (MD‑102), or legacy MCSA.
• ITIL Foundation certification or familiarity with ITIL service management frameworks.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent hands‑on experience.
