Job summary

Clayton is seeking a Team Leader to manage the Windows production teams at our Hillsboro facility. The role focuses on directing daily operations, coordinating with Area Coordinators, and ensuring safety, scheduling, and staffing coverage for the production line.

The Team Leader will foster strong communication, lead toolbox meetings, and work closely with QA, Purchasing and Maintenance to maintain smooth production flow in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a management role preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong communication, analytical and reasoning skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to get along with diverse personalities.
• Able to function in a fast paced environment.
• Able to push, pull, bend, and lift at least 50lbs.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to team members within the assigned area of the production facility.
• Provide additional support for all TMs of the assigned area. Help ensure smooth operation by problems solving for any issues that arise throughout the day.
• Partner with Area Coordinators and TMs to ensure all duties within the production line are properly covered and staffed.
• Partner with the AC to ensure all raw materials, tools and machinery are in place for all TMs of their designated production area.
• Maintains a watchful eye for any safety hazards and partners with the EHS manager for all reported safety hazards within the facility.
• Provide routine updates on vital information to the Area Coordinator to report on to the Production Manager and General Manager.
• Keep a vigilant eye on assigned production area to ensure a safe and clean work environment for all TMs.
