Job summary

Clayton is seeking a Production Manager to supervise all phases of the homebuilding process and collaborate with Design and Operations Teams. You will lead cross-functional groups and drive production priorities to meet schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant management experience.
• Previous construction experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in manufactured housing is greatly desired.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
• Must be detail-oriented and can multi-task effectively.
• Ability to read and understand home building specifications greatly desired.
• Demonstrated adherence to safety protocols.
• Ability to adapt quickly and make sound decisions in a changing, fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead large groups of people and develop a culture of accountability working as a team.
• Strict adherence and compliance with quality assurance requirements to include HUD building codes.
• Be safety minded and adhere to strict safety rules and guidelines.
• Review production performance and identify training opportunities of production personnel as necessary.
• Direct teams effectively in each department to ensure timelines and production priorities are met.
• Provide sound leadership, coaching, mentoring, and direction for personnel development and team member engagement.
• Improve production processes to enhance quality, reduce lead-times, and lower costs using Lean Manufacturing, 6S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and Total Quality Management as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
