Job summary

HDR is seeking a Microsoft Windows Field Deployment Technician to support VA EHR deployment and training. You will image and deploy PCs, laptops, monitors, printers, scanners, and networks across VA sites and offsite training centers, handling setup, imaging, and user-ready configurations.

You will work with supervision as needed, travel to sites, and maintain strong customer service while ensuring devices are ready for security scans and AD assignments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year imaging and installing computer equipment.
• Ability to unpack/re-pack, move, and install IT equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Experience with hardware and software support, troubleshooting, system imaging, and hardware break-fix.
• Knowledge of Active Directory and configuring network connectivity for training use.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work independently.
• HS diploma or GED with 8 years in lieu of a degree; no degree required if experience is met.
• Nice to have ServiceNow experience and VA Public Trust clearance; Windows desktop deployments.

Responsibilities

• Imaging, deploying, and setting up equipment across VA sites and offsite training centers.
• Unbox, repack, install, configure, and remove equipment as required.
• Verify computer images are current and ready for security scans; manage Active Directory assignments.
• Configure network connectivity in training rooms and ensure peripherals are installed at each seat.
• Travel to multiple sites as needed and provide high level customer service.
