Job summary

By Light Professional IT Services LLC seeks a Windows Engineer to maintain and optimize a large enterprise Windows environment. You will lead design, implementation, and troubleshooting of server and workstation platforms, automate tasks with PowerShell, and provide exceptional customer service.

The role requires 7+ years of experience, strong Microsoft tech skills (IIS, MSSQL, Active Directory), and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of related experience.
• Expert level PowerShell scripting for automating daily operations.
• Expert level Microsoft technologies including IIS, MSSQL and Active Directory.
• Strong problem solving and systematic troubleshooting skills.
• Methodical approach to change execution and implementation.
• Solid TCP/IP understanding.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to obtain a Position of Trust Clearance.
• Ability to work onsite at the customer location in Alexandria, VA; WFH considered case-by-case.

Responsibilities

• Administering and troubleshooting a large-scale Windows enterprise environment, including subsystems and 3rd party apps.
• Plan, design, implement, and troubleshoot Windows server/workstation platforms.
• Introduce improvements to increase efficiency of current processes.
• Deliver consistent customer service and support.
• participate in a 24x7 on-call engineering rotation for after-hours support.
