Job summary

ActioNet is seeking a Windows Infrastructure & AGPM Engineer to design, secure, and maintain enterprise Windows environments. The role requires hands-on administration, AGPM governance, and cloud/on-prem integration across Azure, VMware, and Hyper-V.

Ideal candidates will modernize and secure Windows estates, implement automation with PowerShell, and guide junior staff. Local candidates in the Fairfax, VA area may work on-site part time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Windows infrastructure administration, systems engineering, or enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience administering Windows Server environments and enterprise Active Directory.
• Hands-on experience with AGPM, including GPO change control, versioning, approvals, and rollback.
• Experience supporting cloud infrastructure and virtualized environments, with emphasis on Azure and VM administration.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, administer, and maintain enterprise Windows Server environments, including AD, DNS, DHCP, and file services.
• Administer and manage GPOs and AGPM with change control, versioning, approvals, auditing, and rollback.
• Manage AGPM governance, security configurations, patching, and incident remediation.
• Support hybrid infrastructure integrating on-premises with Microsoft Azure and other cloud services.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate administration and reporting.
• Lead infrastructure migrations, modernization projects, and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
