Job summary

Builders FirstSource, American Fork, Utah, is seeking a Window Service Technician to repair vinyl and wood windows in residential and commercial settings and to deliver materials to sites as required. You will communicate with customers, other employees and supervisors, and identify additional service needs on job sites.

The role emphasizes safety and requires a valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 80 pounds occasionally, and basic math/measurement skills.

Qualifications

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Window installation or service experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Investigates/examines the condition of company building workmanship and products on the customer’s site at all stages of construction based on concerns raised by the customer, reports back to the Customer Service team on findings.
• Recommends replacement or repair of defective products based on customer service guidelines related to efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Delivers materials to job site as required, using a company provided pickup truck.
• Completes forms applicable to service being provided.
• Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attends periodic safety meetings as required; may recommend changes to improve safety procedures.
• Installs screens and verify each window operates correctly
• Safety is a major priority. You will be required to perform your tasks and drive in a safe manner.
• Other duties may be assigned.
