Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Atlanta, GA seeks a Windows and Doors Field Service Technician to perform in-field warranty and service repairs on window and door products. You will provide technical feedback and act as liaison between Insulate and the end-user.

The role requires problem-solving, safe operation of a company vehicle, and strong communication skills to explain repairs to customers. Full-time position with benefits starts day one.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 1–2 years in general construction or building materials.
• Experience: 1–2 years fenestration manufacturing or installation.
• Skills: Knowledge of window types and repair methods.
• Tools knowledge: Glass cutters, drills, sealants, pry bars, caulk guns, power tools.
• Materials knowledge: Different window materials (wood, vinyl, aluminum, glass).
• Safety: Adherence to safety protocols and PPE.
• Customer service: Ability to communicate repair issues clearly.
• Driver: Valid license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests in the assigned territory.
• Perform field repairs, glass replacements, operational adjustments and repair.
• Conduct field evaluations and inspections.
• Document work performed for each service call.
• Schedule individual work efficiently.
• Document requirements for follow-up appointments.
• Provide technical feedback.
• Document information gathered in the field regarding deficiencies.
• Provide recommendations for modifications.
• Operate a company vehicle safely.
• Maintain parts inventory in the service vehicle.
• Monitor stock levels and restock as needed.
