Job summary

Kids for the Future is hiring for a winding machine operator to follow engineering specifications and support production on the shop floor. You will verify materials, load and prepare for winding, and ensure quality per SOPs while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

The role requires basic math and reading skills, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and collaboration across shifts. A high school diploma is the stated minimum educational requirement.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
• Ability to read and understand written information.
• Manual dexterity required to operate machinery and computers.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate winding machine per Engineering specification.
• Verify raw materials per work order.
• Inspect material for nonconformances.
• Load and prepare material for winding.
• Strip insulation from ends of wires.
• Operate within SOPs and JSAs.
• Communicate with other shifts.
• Maintain clean and safe work area.
• Assist with back-up for LV pre-assembly and provide on-the-job training.
