Job summary

Equiliem is seeking a Winder for our Torrance, CA facility. The role involves winding transformer coils according to wiring diagrams and work orders, using coil-winding machines and hand tools to ensure quality and production standards.

You will interpret engineering drawings and schematics, maintain productivity standards, and support responsive manufacturing operations. ITAR note: U.S. person required. On-site position with local candidate preference.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience in the relevant value stream.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 3+ years of soldering, brazing, or welding experience, or a welding certificate from an accredited institution or equivalent.
• Previous machine operation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Wind standard coils for dry type transformers
• Perform welding and/or brazing to join bus bars to foil
• Utilize hook-up/hot work assembly tools to meet production demands
• Inspect product quality and installation to ensure conformance to production quality standards related to coil dimension, bus bar location, etc.
• Maintain a minimum of 80% of productivity time standards
• Interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and blueprints
• Keep all work areas clean, organized, and presentable
• Comply with all applicable U.S. export control and security regulations
• Other duties as assigned

Job summary

The Winder is responsible for winding transformer coils used in electrical equipment and instruments according to wiring diagrams, samples, or work orders. This role involves using coil-winding machines and hand tools, interpreting engineering drawings and schematics, and ensuring product quality and production standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Wind standard coils for dry type transformers
• Perform welding and/or brazing to join bus bars to foil
• Utilize hook-up/hot work assembly tools to meet production demands
