Job summary

CPI Electron Device Business in Beverly, MA is seeking a Transformer Winding Technician to manufacture high-voltage coils. You will set up and operate manual winding machinery, manage insulation and sealing processes, and work with engineering teams to meet exact design and safety specs.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience operating manual coil winding machinery in a manufacturing or repair environment.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Proficiency using measuring devices to verify coil dimensions.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly and handle epoxy/ resins safely.
  • US person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected individual) required for export-controlled information (ITAR/EAR).

Your Day To Day

We are seeking a detail-oriented Transformer Winding Technician to manufacture high-voltage coils for electrical equipment. In this role, you will set up and operate manual winding machinery, handle insulation and chemical sealing processes, and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure all components meet exact design, quality, and safety specifications. YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE
  • Proven experience operating manual coil winding machinery in a manufacturing or repair environment.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Proficiency using mechanical measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to verify coil dimensions.
  • Ability to manually lift and manipulate components weighing up to 30 pounds regularly.
  • Strong commitment to shop safety, safe lifting techniques, and proper chemical handling protocols for epoxies and resins.
  • This role requires access to export-controlled information, subject to the ITAR and EAR, for which the company will not pursue an export license/license exception. Must be a US person (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals) to be eligible for this role.

Salary Range: $25.00 - $35.00 / hour
