Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions seeks a PDM/Document Control Specialist to own HSIO’s engineering and project documentation ecosystem. You will establish standardized structures, templates, and naming conventions, and manage Windchill PDM along with SharePoint and Power Platform tools to align with business operations.

The role trains cross-functional teams, enforces governance, and improves traceability and audit readiness while enabling engineering and program teams to deliver high-value

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years' experience in Product Lifecycle Management, Document Control, Engineering Operations, or Technical Program Support.
• Hands-on experience with PDM/PLM systems (Windchill preferred).
• Experience with engineering drawings and CAD data.
• Strong revision control, configuration management, and ECR/ECN workflows.
• Ability to collaborate across engineering, IT, manufacturing, and sales.
• Strong analytical skills to identify root causes of nonconformity and drive corrective actions.
• Occasional international travel.

Responsibilities

• Align and develop tools and processes (PLM, SharePoint, Teams) with business operations.
• Drive conformity across HSIO programs and teams.
• Train users to follow defined standards.
• Identify and fix systemic causes of nonconformity.
• Define and maintain documentation structures, templates, and naming conventions.
• Develop SOPs for data management processes.
• Integrate systems across global locations.
• Manage engineering drawings, CAD data within Windchill PDM.
• Ensure revision control, lifecycle states, and auditability.
• Maintain product structures, metadata, classifications, and naming standards.
• Map current processes and identify improvements.
• Audit engineering data for accuracy and completeness.
