Job summary

Sky Climber in Seymour, Texas is hiring a Wind Technician Level 1 as part of their TOP Wind Technician Development Program. This is a full-time position that includes safety and technical training in a supportive environment.

Technicians will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair on wind turbines. Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and must be legally authorized to work in the US.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of a climb preview prior to hire.
• Ability to climb a 300+ ft. wind tower multiple times per day.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic mechanical installations, maintenance, and upgrades.
• Document all work performed accurately.
• Follow all Health, Safety & Environmental procedures.

Skills

Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Mechanical or electrical background

Ability to read, write, and understand English

Valid driver’s license

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Associate’s degree in a technical mechanical field
