WHO WE ARE

We are looking for dedicated technicians who are enthusiastic about preserving our planet through clean, renewable wind energy. As a Vestas technician, you'll put your electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical experience to work, ensuring safety for yourself and your team.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A TECHNICIAN

In this intermediate-level position, you'll use your skills and training to perform maintenance and/or installation work on wind turbines under minimal supervision. You will be provided with schedules and procedures, including safety protocols and instructions, and may mentor entry-level technicians.

During a typical day, you may work 250 feet above the ground or in confined spaces to perform maintenance and repairs. Work is outdoors, sometimes in challenging weather conditions. You will be climbing, carrying tools and equipment, and moving parts to complete your tasks.

Teamwork is essential, and professionalism, safety, and attention to detail are highly valued. We also encourage suggestions to improve safety and quality.

MORE ABOUT YOU

• You have a High School Diploma or equivalent
• You have at least 1 year of technical wind industry experience, or six months with a wind technician program certificate, or three years of experience in electrical, hydraulic, mechanical skills, or heavy machinery
• You can climb stairs and ladders while carrying up to 50 lbs.
• You are experienced with intermediate power tools, such as hydraulic, torque, and diagnostic tools
• You hold a valid driver's license
• You have basic computer skills, are familiar with internet-based programs, and can interpret data
• You can read and understand drawings and schematics, and follow safety protocols meticulously
• You can communicate effectively with customers and collaborate with coworkers
