Vestas is seeking a Wind Site Technician II at the Lovington, NM site to ensure reliable turbine operation. You will participate in maintenance, troubleshooting, and system issue resolution to support clean energy for local communities.

The role requires safety-minded teamwork, problem-solving, and physical fitness. Training opportunities include GWO certifications, with a $2,500 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months with a Wind Technician certificate, or 1 year of wind turbine experience, or 2 years in mechanical or electrical fields.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and proactive approach to responsibilities.
• Safety-conscious and committed to best practices.
• Able to work well with others in a collaborative environment.
• Physically fit for varied conditions and heights.
• Ability to speak, read, and follow instructions in English.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair wind turbines with the team to keep communities powered.
• Adhere to safety protocols and perform safety inspections.
• Collaborate with the team to improve turbine performance and share best practices.
• Document work and continuously improve operational processes.
• Accurately time-code all work activities for clear tracking of duration and progress.
