Job summary

Nordex USA, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician to ensure safe and efficient operation of wind turbine generators across our wind farm operations. You will support 24/7/365 activities, perform preventative and corrective maintenance, and document all steps in Movilizer.

The role requires safety-first work, ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics, use hand and power tools, and travel for site support and training. High school diploma and HV certification readiness are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Certification or degree in wind, technical, or engineering field is preferred.
• Minimum wind experience and ability to work safely around HV equipment.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools and interpret schematics.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain wind turbine generators and related equipment at the wind farm.
• Support 24/7/365 wind farm operations, including rotating shifts, overtime, and on-call duties.
• Conduct safety analyses of energy sources and hazards before and during work on wind farms.
• Assist in root cause analyses to determine equipment failures.
• Complete and maintain accurate documentation for corrective and preventive maintenance.
• Perform preventative maintenance safely on wind turbines and related equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Organize, prioritize, and report work plans and results.
• Demonstrate commitment to Nordex USA, Inc. safety and reputation.
• Travel as required for site support and training.
