Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Product Definition Engineer to translate complex blade designs into precise documentation, guiding projects from concept through industrialization. You’ll collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and sourcing to ensure high-quality outputs and seamless protobuild transitions.

The role requires 5+ years in mechanical design, expertise with GE Vernova blades or large composite structures, and strong PLM proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace from an accredited university.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, especially large-scale composite structures or turbine blades.
• Led product definition for at least 1 full NPI cycle from concept to serial production.
• Experience with EBOM/MBOM, 500+ line items, and 100% parts accuracy.
• GD&T per ASME Y14.5 and stack-up analysis for 95% first-time yield.

Responsibilities

• Create CAD models and drawings for blade components and design changes.
• Prepare manufacturing and quality documentation for blade processes.
• Perform stack-up analyses to meet design requirements.
• Provide on-site startup support for protobuild and validation.
• Lead design, analysis, and evaluation per project requirements.
• Participate as presenter or reviewer in technical reviews.
• Leverage engineering knowledge to execute policy and strategy.
