Qualifications

• 1+ year in a wind tunnel laboratory or similar test lab environment.
• Hands-on experience as a technician or test technician setting up and operating test equipment.
• Practical knowledge of electrical instrumentation and sensors (pressure transducers, thermocouples).
• Experience with vehicle subsystems and associated test infrastructure.
• Strong diagnostic skills for test systems and vehicle diagnostics.
• Proficient documentations and reporting using Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for wind tunnel testing by installing sensors and instrumentation.
• Collaborate with engineers to run aerodynamic, powertrain cooling, and fuel efficiency tests to collect data.
• Remove vehicles and instrumentation after testing and document procedures.
• Support maintenance, calibration, and quality activities to ensure readiness of the wind tunnel.
• Interface with customers to understand objectives and develop test strategies.
• Contribute to efficiency improvements, including test automation and lights-out testing.
• Lead diagnostics and troubleshoot test system issues to minimize interruptions.
• Stay current with test standards and help develop new test methods as needed.
• Develop safe action plans for all test activities in alignment with EH&S.
• Support laboratory operations with electrical systems, instrumentation, and prototype setups.
• Handle electrical equipment like pressure transducers, thermocouples, dynamometers, and flow systems.
• Document test plans and results using Microsoft Office and communicate outcomes.
