Job summary

Invenergy LLC is hiring a Wind Technician for the Gunsight Mountain Wind Energy Center, a 120 MW facility in Big Spring, TX. You will perform routine maintenance on GE 1.7-100 turbines and support safety processes.

Responsibilities include mechanical and electrical maintenance, climbing towers, troubleshooting faults, and maintaining tools and site equipment. A valid US work authorization and willingness to work overtime are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• One year technical experience (mechanical, electrical) and/or technical education.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbine and associated equipment.
• Climb wind turbine towers daily, wearing safety equipment, to inspect, maintain or repair equipment.
• Understand electrical and mechanical functions of all components of a wind turbine generator and associated equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults; repair and/or replace components.
• Maintain company tooling, facilities and equipment and a clean safe work environment.
• Work a 40 hour work week and be subject to scheduled and unscheduled overtime; schedule may vary during peak maintenance periods.
