Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking Lead Electrical Technicians to support commissioning and service activities on the Dogger Bank Offshore Wind Farm. The role requires experienced LV/HV electrical professionals with commissioning background and proven capability in leading offshore technical teams.

You will oversee safe execution of LV/HV electrical commissioning, ensuring systems are installed, tested, and energized per design docs and standards.

Job Description Summary: GE Vernova is seeking Lead Electrical Technicians to support commissioning and service activities on the Dogger Bank Offshore Wind Farm.

This role is suited to experienced LV/HV electrical professionals with a strong commissioning background and proven capability in leading offshore technical teams. In this position, you will be responsible for the safe execution and supervision of LV and HV electrical commissioning activities on offshore wind turbines, ensuring systems are installed, tested, and energized in accordance with design documentation, method statements, and applicable standards. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical judgment, disciplined adherence to safety processes, and effective team coordination offshore.

Candidates will be considered for roles on both the Commissioning and Services teams supporting Dogger Bank.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead offshore teams performing installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning, maintenance, and fault rectification on LV and HV electrical systems for wind turbines
• Execute and supervise commissioning activities in line with approved method statements, risk assessments, commissioning procedures, and GE Vernova safe systems of work

• Support work across key electrical systems and components, including:
  • power converters
  • transformers
  • HV/LV switchgear
  • circuit breakers and protection systems
  • LV control systems

• Interpret and utilize electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams, and technical specifications to ensure correct system configuration
• Support senior engineers during energization, functional testing, and handover activities
