Job summary

NextEra Energy is seeking a Wind Technician III (Entry Level) at Capricorn Ridge in Sterling City, TX to perform field-based maintenance and diagnostics on wind turbines. You will help ensure safe, reliable operation, participate in safety programs, and contribute to turbine availability and site reporting.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 0+ years experience, a valid non-CDL driver's license, and ability to climb turbines up to 300 feet. Associate’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Grad / GED is required.
• Experience: 0+ years.
• Valid Driver's License (NON CDL) required.
• Ability to climb a wind turbine up to 300 feet.
• Post-Offer Functional Capacity Eval.

Responsibilities

• Performs regular preventative maintenance and repair on wind turbine power generation equipment.
• Completes electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Maintains all company supplied equipment, facilities and tooling.
• Applies basic understanding of the technical and process functions.
• Manages own training schedules and meets all training requirements within designated time frames.
• Able to meet attendance requirements.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
