Job summary

AES Corporation is seeking a Wind Technician Apprentice to operate and maintain wind turbine power generation equipment at the Bliss, NY site. The role requires basic mechanical and electrical repair skills, a valid driver's license, and readiness to work a varying schedule with overtime.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of related experience and be able to read electrical drawings, perform inspections, and document all work performed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, technical degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of related experience in power generation or wind energy.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and technical information.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe operation and maintenance of wind turbine equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair wind turbine components including gearboxes and motors.
• Maintain, inspect, and repair generators, pitch, yaw, cooling systems and related equipment.
• Respond to call outs and overtime as needed.
• Maintain documentation using computer-based systems.
