Job summary

AES is seeking a Wind Technician Apprentice to join a wind farm in Bliss, NY. You will work on GE 1.5, Vestas V-80, and Siemens 2.3 turbines, with a focus on safe operation and maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates technical/electronic degree or 3+ years in electrical/electronic repair/mining mechanical field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct work in a professional, environmental, and safe manner.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair wind turbine generation equipment.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on generators, pitch, yaw, cooling systems, and related components.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues with gearboxes, pumps, and rotating equipment.
• Ensure safety equipment, vehicles, and plant equipment inspections are completed.
