Job summary

Invenergy is seeking a Wind Technician to operate and maintain the Plymouth Wind Energy Center near Marcus, IA. You will perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE turbines and climb towers to inspect and repair equipment.

Roles require outdoor work in all weather, ability to lift heavy loads, and working at heights. A valid driver's license and US work eligibility are required. Base pay and benefits are described in the posting.

Qualifications

• One year technical experience (mechanical, electrical, etc.).
• Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather, climb ladders, and work at heights >80m (250 ft).
• Ability to move and manipulate up to 45 kg (100 pounds).
• Weight must not exceed 120 kg (265 lbs) excluding gear.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbine and related equipment.
• Climb wind turbine towers daily and inspect, maintain, or repair equipment with safety gear.
• Understand electrical and mechanical functions of wind turbine components.
• Troubleshoot faults; repair and/or replace components.
• Maintain tools, facilities and a clean safe work environment.
• Work a 40 hour week with overtime during peak maintenance periods.
