Job summary

Invenergy's Plymouth Wind Energy Center near Marcus, IA seeks a Wind Technician to operate and maintain the facility. You will perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE turbines, climb towers daily with safety gear, and ensure a safe, productive work environment.

The role requires 1 year of technical experience, outdoor work in all weather, and the ability to lift heavy loads. A valid driver’s license and US work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year technical experience in mechanical or electrical fields.
• Able to work outdoors in inclement weather and at heights.
• Able to lift/move up to 100 pounds (45 kg) and handle 120 kg weight limits.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbines and associated equipment.
• Climb wind turbine towers daily with safety equipment to inspect, maintain, or repair equipment.
• Understand electrical and mechanical components of turbine systems and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults; repair or replace components.
• Maintain company tooling, facilities and a safe work environment.
• Work a 40-hour week with overtime during peak maintenance periods.
