Job summary

Vestas in the United States is seeking a Wind Site Technician to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of wind turbines. You will address maintenance, troubleshooting, and system issues while prioritizing safety and reliability for local communities.

The role requires hands-on experience with wind energy, heavy equipment, and cranes, along with a strong safety mindset, English literacy, and a valid driver’s license. This is a full-time on-site position with sign-on bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of wind energy experience, including work with heavy equipment and cranes.
• Task Based Certification (TBC) Level 300 or willingness to obtain.
• Safety-conscious with knowledge of energy isolation and risk mitigation.
• Collaborative team player who mentors others and leads by example.
• Ability to read and follow instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain wind turbines with the team to keep communities powered.
• Adhere to safety protocols, perform safety inspections, and promote a safety culture.
• Collaborate with teammates to improve turbine performance and support change initiatives.
• Document work thoroughly and suggest improvements to procedures.
• Support specialty projects (e.g., crane work, CIM) and mentor junior technicians.
