Job summary

Mortenson is currently seeking a laborer to prepare, handle, and supply materials for other crafts at the Plum Creek Wind Project in Walnut Grove, MN. The base pay range is $32.00–$57.00 per hour, with pay determined by knowledge, skills and experience within the posted range.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading equipment, erecting scaffolding, leveling ground, tending mortar and grout, and moving materials.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction preferred.
• Ability to operate a range of tools and equipment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; customer service oriented.
• Physical exertion including lifting up to 50 lbs.

SUMMARY

Mortenson is currently seeking a laborerthat will be responsible for the preparation, handling, and supplying of materials to be used by other crafts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Load and unload equipment
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding (5X7X16) and staging
• Level ground for scaffolding
• Tend mortar and grout
• Lift, unload, move, set, and shovel mortar and grout between wheelbarrows and buckets
• General cleanup and clearing of debris, including sweeping, cleaning, washing, and unloading or burning debris
• Place, push, pull, and shovel concrete
• Vibrate concrete
• Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
• All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in construction preferred
• Ability to work with tools and equipment such as power and non-powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, and jackhammers; forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies
• Strong teamwork orientation; positive attitude and professional customer service skills; detail orientation; active listening skills and effective communication, including an openness to diverse input and feedback
• Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements
• *Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.

The base pay range for this roleis $32.00 - $57.00 per hour.Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
