Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a laborer for the Four Horizons Wind Project in Seymour, TX. You will assist with material handling, loading/unloading, and prepping work areas on a construction site. The role involves scaffolding setup, concrete work, and general site upkeep to support other crafts on the project.

Candidates should have construction experience, ability to operate tools, and a strong safety mindset. This is a hands-on, on-site position with opportunities to grow within a large engineering

SUMMARY

Mortenson is currently seeking a laborerthat will be responsible for the preparation, handling, and supplying of materials to be used by other crafts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Load and unload equipment
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding (5X7X16) and staging
• Level ground for scaffolding
• Tend mortar and grout
• Lift, unload, move, set, and shovel mortar and grout between wheelbarrows and buckets
• General cleanup and clearing of debris, including sweeping, cleaning, washing, and unloading or burning debris
• Place, push, pull, and shovel concrete
• Vibrate concrete
• Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
• All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in construction preferred
• Ability to work with tools and equipment such as power and non-powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, and jackhammers; forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies
• Strong teamwork orientation; positive attitude and professional customer service skills; detail orientation; active listening skills and effective communication, including an openness to diverse input and feedback
• Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements
• *Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.
