Mortenson is seeking a skilled carpenter for construction and repair of wood and wallboard fixtures in compliance with local building codes and general construction principles, supporting the Plum Creek Wind Project in Walnut Grove, MN. The role covers site setup, blueprint interpretation, and coordinated teamwork.

Responsibilities include building decks/stairs/structures, setting up forms, assisting journeyman and foreman with grades/elevations, and handling materials safely.

Responsabilidades

• Set up trailers and prepare sites.
• Study blueprints, sketches, or plans for material needs and measurements.
• Build decks, stairs, roofs, and temporary structures; install shelves and set up trailers/Conex containers.
• Hand-set forms and assemble gang forms.
• Assist journeyman and foreman with shooting grades and elevations.
• Unload, handle, stockpile, and erect prefabricated materials.
• Concrete and rough carpentry tasks: walls, footings, forms, decks, drywall, finish carpentry, millwork, cabinetry.
• Work well with diverse teams and levels of the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY

Mortenson is currently seeking a carpenter that will be responsible for the construction and repair of wood and wallboard fixtures in compliance with local building codes and general construction principals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up trailers

• Study blueprints, sketches, or building plans for material requirements and measure dimensions

• Build decks, stairs, roofs, temporary structures, install shelves, set up tool trailers/conex’s, silt fences/straw bales, and site per erosion control plan

• Hand-set forms and assemble gang forms

• Assistjourneyman andforemanwith shooting grades and elevations

• Unload, handle, stockpile, and erectprefabricatedmaterials

• Concrete and rough carpentry: hand set walls, footings, gang wall forms, structural concrete decks, drywall, finish carpentry (doors, frames, hardware), millwork, cabinetry

• Work effectively and build relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels

• Perform all other duties as assigned

The base pay range for this role is $20.00 - $57.00 per hour. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
