Job summary

Mortenson Construction is seeking a Millwright for a wind project in Seymour, TX. The role involves dismantling, assembling, aligning, and maintaining machinery in line with installation manuals and drawings.

Responsibilities include offloading components, erecting sections, blade coupling, tower setup, crane support, and crane-related tasks. Requires a high school diploma or GED and a valid drivers license, with safety and teamwork emphasis.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of related experience preferred.
• Current driver1s license.
• Ability to read and interpret safety regulations, assembly/disassembly, operation and maintenance instructions; strong teamwork and customer service skills.
• Detail-oriented with active listening and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Receive and offload major components.
• Install loose components for nacelle, hub, and tower preparation.
• Connect blades to hub.
• Set base and tower sections.
• Handle taglines.
• Assist with main erection crane assembly and teardown.
• Climb ladders (average 80m).
• Drill and/or tap holes on turbines, generators, compressors, and pumps.
• Torque/tension bolted connections.
• Build relationships with diverse backgrounds and levels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY

Mortenson is currently seeking a millwright that will be responsible for for dismantling, erecting, assembling, aligning, adjusting, and/or maintaining machinery and equipment according to installation manuals, work instructions, layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receive and offload major components
• Install loose components for nacelle, hub, and tower preparation
• Connect blades to hub
• Set base and tower sections
• Handle taglines
• Assist with main erection crane assembly and teardown
• Climb ladders (average 80m)
• Drill and/or tap holes on turbines, generators, compressors, and pumps
• Torque/tension bolted connections
• Build relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
• Perform all other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED
• One (1) year of related experience preferred
• Current driver's license
• Ability to read and interpret safety regulations, assembly/disassembly, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; strong teamwork orientation with a positive attitude and professional customer service skills.
• Detail-oriented with active listening and effective communication skills, open to diverse input and feedback.
• Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements
• *Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.
