Job summary

Invenergy LLC in Chicago area is seeking a Field Troubleshooting Technician- Wind to support the Wind operating fleet. The role focuses on in-field troubleshooting and returning turbines to service, working with site teams and training newer technicians.

This position is 100% travel for four weeks followed by one week off, requiring strong mechanical and electrical skills, safety awareness, and the ability to work outdoors and climb heights. Base pay ranges and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

Two years of wind turbine experience or relevant technical training.
Able to work outdoors in inclement weather and at heights.
Valid driver's license and eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Travel within the US fleet to support sites and perform troubleshooting and repairs.
Diagnose faults and repair equipment safely and efficiently.
Assist with pilot projects and evaluate new equipment or processes.
Lead and train site technicians on troubleshooting practices.
Prepare operating procedures conforming to standards and regulations.
Support High Voltage switching when required.
Identify opportunities for operational and quality improvements.
Analyze information to determine actions for maintenance and repairs.
Perform QA/QC inspections across the fleet.
Manage travel arrangements in 4-week rotational blocks.
